RX Optical is the largest optical provider in all of Michigan, with 51 locations in the state and 14 here in the Grand Rapids area. They are a second year business sponsor for Team Orphans. This is the perfect partnership because RX Optical is a Michigan focused company, Team Orphans started right here in Grand Rapids, and our largest adoption agency is Bethany, also headquartered here in Grand Rapids.
RX Optical is not only the largest optical provider in Michigan, it is also the oldest. They began in Kalamazoo in 1947. And now, for the past 67 years, they have been providing excellence in optical care for Michigan residents. With 14 locations in the Grand Rapids area, you are sure to find one near you. They have strategically placed their offices close to where you live, work, and shop. They are not located in malls, but near grocery stores, office buildings, and other retailers. There’s no doubt that RX optical will accept your vision insurance. They process the largest number of insurance claims of any optical provider in the state. But knowing that not everyone has vision insurance, they also have a discount program called For Your Eyes Only for their customers.
RX Optical is proud to be a Michigan focused company. All of their glasses are made right here in Michigan. As much as possible, they buy supplies from Meijer. Their office furniture is from Herman Miller, and all of their fleet cars are Fords. In addition to sponsoring Team Orphans, RX Optical is in it’s 4th year as a sponsor for the Fifth Third Riverbank Run, the largest race in Michigan. If you’re one of the 25,000 participants running any of the Riverbank races this year, you’re sure to find an RX Optical and Team Orphans Cookie 5K flyer in your race packet.
RX Optical is expanding this Spring with a new kind of store in Breton Village called Modern Focus. The office will specialize in modern stylistic eye wear from manufactures like Tiffany, Coach, Oliver Peoples, and Versace.
I have been a satisfied customer of RX Optical for 15 years. Now, with three kids in glasses and contacts, we are regular visitors to the Northland Drive location. It seems that every month we have glasses that didn’t survive a PE class, need an sudden adjustment, or run out of contacts. We’re always greeted with a smile and a chuckle. It’s nice when they know me by name! I jokingly told one of the employees in January that I won the award for the mom who made the most visits in a month. That’s ok. I know I’m supporting a great company, and they in turn support great causes like Team Orphans. To find an RX Optical location near you, visit http://rxoptical.com/. Tell them that Team Orphans sent you!
